Prof (Dr) Pravin Kumar Bhoyar is an accomplished academic leader with more than 25 years of experience in teaching, research, academic administration, and institutional leadership. He joined Symbiosis Institute of Business Management(SIBM), Nagpur, as Director on 22 July 2026. Before joining SIBM Nagpur, he served at the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pune, where he held several leadership positions and significantly contributed to academic excellence, research, executive education, and institutional development. He holds a Ph.D. in Management, an MBA in Marketing, and a Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering. His academic and research work primarily focuses on Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Regional Economic Development. He has collaborated with numerous government institutions and corporate organizations on research projects, training programmes, and consultancy assignments. Prof. Bhoyar has published extensively in reputed journals and has actively contributed to the advancement of management education through research, teaching, mentoring, and industry engagement. He has also completed the Independent Director Programme to further strengthen his expertise in corporate governance and board leadership. Dr. Arif Abad is an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Nagpur. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing Channels (Agricultural Marketing), awarded in 2022, with doctoral research introducing an original method for assessing the efficiency of agricultural marketing channels. He also holds an MBA in Agribusiness Management from Aligarh Muslim University. He is UGC-NET qualified and has been awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) in Management.

With over three years of academic experience, Dr. Abad teaches courses including Marketing Management, Marketing Research, Agri-Input Marketing, Agri-Retail Management, Rural Marketing, and related agricultural management subjects. His research is published in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals, including Q1 and Q2 categories, as well as ABDC-ranked journals. His academic and professional work focuses on rigorous empirical and policy-oriented analysis of agricultural systems, emphasizing evidence-based research and sustainable agricultural development.

His research interests include cost of cultivation and profitability analysis, food and nutritional security, efficiency and productivity measurement, agricultural trade and export competitiveness, market integration, and price transmission. He possesses strong expertise in advanced quantitative methodologies such as econometric modeling, panel data and time-series analysis, stochastic frontier and data envelopment analysis, and linear programming applications for evaluating farm-level performance and policy impacts.
